The MM: Chapter 1.3 (Good Game Glitches)

Welcome back to the Meddison Legacy! When we left off, the first child- a son named Copper- had been born to our lovely couple. Of course, since Copper is not a girl, he can't be the heir. But that's okay. We love him anyway, right guys?

 "Hm? Sure, yeah, right, the kid. Sorry...I'm a little busy watching my hot husband make franks and beans." 

Ever since Copper was born, these two have been getting it on, trying to make another heir, but for some reason it's not sticking. Oh well, let them flirt. 

 And that's not all the flirting that's been going on. Ilera has to have three serious romantic relationships and kiss ten people for her Serial Romance aspiration. Because it's easy and I am a lazy simmer, Ilera is going to just ask those she has the highest romantic relationship with to be her boyfriend/girlfriends. 

"Kylie, will you be my girlfriend? You're already my best friend so what's a little kissing?"

Kylie says yes, and we only need one more to complete that part of the aspiration. 

 Copper is cute as a baby, but in Sims 4, they all are. I don't show enough of these interactions, but the amount that Ilera and Brenden play with him autonomously is adorable. 

 "So, Mr. Landgraab....wanna do me a favor?" *Bats eyelashes*

That poor guy doesn't know how much we're taking him for a ride. Turns out he has a wife and kids. But by the looks of how often he comes to the Meddison front door, his priorities lie elsewhere. 

"You're my girlfriend now, Ilera?!" 

"Only on paper, LG, only on paper."

 With the money Brenden is bringing in from his Culinary job, I built a little room for the kids. There's no furniture in there obviously. Brenden's not making that much. 

 As with all legacies, there's a lot of maintenance of shitty appliances. So much toilet cleaning, so many sink repairs. 

"I hate this."

Wait until you're an elder, and I'll make your heir do all the work!

 "Brenden I have a surprise for you! Let me yell it across the bed!"

Brenden freaks out when Ilera tells him she's pregnant. I geek out so hard over their cute marriage. 

 "...and soon you'll have a little brother or sister."

Hopefully sister!

"*AHEM* And no matter whether a boy or girl, we will love them. Can you grow up now so that I don't have to keep waking up to feed you? Thanks." 

 It worked! Copper has grown into a little boy! I have no idea who he looks like, to be honest. He's obviously got his mom's skin tone and hair color. Other than that, though, he's not remarkably one or the other. 

Copper Meddison rolled the Rambunctious Scamp child Aspiration and the Art Lover trait. Just like his dad!

 While our first kid grows up, a pregnant Ilera goes out to the park to try to get her ten kisses in. So far she's got four kisses in (Brenden, Kylie, G. Landgraab, and his son, Malcolm, who came over for a quick hello that I missed with the camera). 

"Hello, there. You kind of look like my husband. Do you want to flirt and maybe have a first kiss with me?"

"I'm so flattered! Who doesn't dream of kissing a married and pregnant woman who comes to the park for the explicit reason of picking up strange men?!"

 He really does look like Brenden though. Same face, except with a beard. No wonder he and Ilera hit it off quickly. 

 Five kisses down. Five to go.

 Brenden and Copper are bonding so hard. They are always talking and hugging. It's adorable. I am still trying to get Brenden into the Mixology branch. Turns out, that shit is hard to do. He makes drinks all the time. We have tons of alcoholic beverages in the fridge. (Just like at home, amIright? Boom boom chhhhh.)

 Ilera also goes out to get some more collectibles. She's still not working because I don't have the strength to worry about that too. I like having her around to play with Copper and maintain the household.

 Copper does his homework without me even telling him. One day, I'll take him to the park and try to get through his childhood aspiration. But, at the moment other things are going on.....

 Ilera, don't focus on the pain! Focus on giving us some heirs!

And not only do we get one potential heir, we get two! Two girls are born to Ilera and Brenden Meddison. Everyone, meet Harper and Celeste Meddison. If you can't tell, everyone's names in this legacy are completely random (except for our founder which was described before). Harper and Celeste are part of a game glitch in which almost all of the children born to my playable families are multiples. 

What a good game glitch for a matriarchy!

The MM: Chapter 1.2 (House for the Heir)

Welcome back to the Meddison Matriarchy! As I mentioned in the Intro, I'm happy to greedily use up the funds my heir spouses bring in. 

And since Brenden and Ilera got married, I used Brenden's money to build them this tiny abode. It's nicer than most of my founders can boast right after getting married. 

 I have a little obsession with grilled cheese in Sim games. So whenever my sims make them, I get a picture. Isn't Ilera cute in her PJs, making the only thing she's skilled enough to make?

 I'm kind of sad that she has to cheat on Brenden all the time. They are so super cute together. Here he is after dishwashing at work to just come sit and talk to her while she eats grilled cheeses. 

 And in this flattering picture we see....

"Um, could you get the fuck out, please?"

Oh yeah, sorry. But this is how we know you're pregnant now. Just get used to it-there are going to be a lot of toilet pics. 

 "Honey, I'm pregnant!" 

You can't see his face, but Brenden is totally happy. 

"Of course he is! We are going to have the prettiest kids." 

 Brenden's aspiration is to become the Professional Mixologist, or whatever it's called. I'm having him cook all the meals because at some point I know he's going to have to get high enough in his career to choose the Mixology branch. 

 Ilera is also trying to get into her aspiration. She wants to get it out of the way so that she can choose another one. 

"I should have been given the Soulmate aspiration, Creator."

Hindsight is 20-20. 

 But since you do have to have three first kisses (Brenden being #1), why don't you get your best friend Kylie over here to help?

 "We've been best friends now for a good four days now, Kylie. You were the first person I met after I came out of CAS. And, honestly, you're hot. Do you want to flirt and fool around a little?"

 Two down, one to go. 

 "I am getting bigger with my first baby, mirror. And I keep thinking, when am I going to be done with this aspiration? The end of my aspiration means at some point I will have eight boyfriends or girlfriends. That's a lot of cheating. I mean, usually I wouldn't care. But Brenden is awesome. And he's a great kisser." 

Hormones be raging. 

 Whenever Brenden is practicing on the home bar, mixing drinks, Ilera is not far behind. She likes to talk to him while she drinks beverages that we are assuming are non-alcoholic. 

 Awwwwwwwwwww. Also, are they usually this big in the third trimester? We might just see it more because of Ilea's shirt. I love that most items of clothing are maternity compatible. 

 Landgraab thought Ilera was pretty, and literally came up to her in the street to tell her so. 

"I guess this is a good opportunity to get my last kiss in for the second tier of the SR aspiration. Hi there, uh, cutie?"

Enjoying that, Landgraab?

 "Uh, so I'll see you around Ilera, right?"

*Laughs*"Sure, LG, sure." 

I think she kind of just used that guy because he was an easy target.....

It's time for the first baby of the legacy to be born!

 And it's a boy! That's right. Our first little kid cannot be heir. But boy is he cute. 

Everyone welcome Ilera and Brenden's first baby: Copper Meddison. 

 Copper's only chance of staying part of the story is to become the non-heir Chronicler. We'll see how cool he is. Look how cute Brenden is, holding him. 

"Ilera, we need a daughter. Shouldn't we...uh...not waste time?"

Good one, Brenden. It's actually a viable (*cough*) excuse.

The MM: Chapter 1.1 (A Quick Start)

We have officially started my Meddison Legacy! Super excited. Just wanted to point out that I got the name Ilera Meddison from someone's gallery Sim, so shout out to them because I love the name. If you read the introduction, you know that I immediately sent Ilera off to the park- after building her a shitty house of course. 

 "I am not good at cooking hot dogs."

No you are not. 

"No worries, I'll be better at kissing a million people."

Ilera's aspiration is Serial Romantic. For the first part of that aspiration to be fulfilled, Ilera needs to go on two dates and get either a boyfriend or a girlfriend. 

Lo and behold two prospects arrive to come steal her hot dogs. 

"Hi, I'm Ilera! It's no big deal, but I'm a legacy founder and have to procreate pretty quickly. Are any of you interested in being my kissing buddy?"

 Although she didn't say anything at the time, Kylie Perkins was (and still is, small spoiler) totally interested. No joke, the other guy, whose name I can't remember right now, literally got up and left. He wasn't big fan of forwardness. 

"I mean, I'm just trying to be honest. I don't live in a great place right now. But I really need some daughters. It's a long story, but you all could be famous and end up on a blog somewhere in the oblivion that is the internets."

Kylie thinking: The what?

Even though Kylie listened to Ilera blabber, she decided she had somewhere better to be. Ilera's fun was a little red, so I had her play chess with this guy, Brenden McClellan. They hit it off right away. Brenden was already flirty when Ilera sat down. 

"You're really good at chess, Ilera. Would you maybe want to flirt a little?"

"Not only do I want to flirt, you hunk of a man, I want to have my aspiration dates with you!"

What a sweet talker. 

I know it's incredibly early in this game to like a sim couple so much, but Ilera and Brenden hit it off in a really big way. They went on two dates within two days (Ilera has literally no money because I forgot to get her a job), and they would automatically tickle each other and cuddle all the time. 

I mean, come on. So cute. 

As the creator of this legacy, I am allowed to do what I please. Ilera and Brenden are going to be a couple. 

And when I said spoiler, I basically meant that Kylie would still play a big part in the story. 

"So, girls, I'm eating free chips because my legacy creator can't be bothered to see me as anything but a brood sow."

Sorry, but your aspiration doesn't revolve around knowledge...you know?

"But I met this great guy, and, even though I know I will be kissing and dating a bunch of other people in the future...."

".....I asked him to go steady."

So as of now, Ilera and Brenden are going steady and being cute. 

I did have to break down, and get Ilera to collect some stuff, though. She still doesn't have a career. Part of the reason I'm not crazy about her getting one is that I know she's going to have to have to take care of a bunch of kids soon. Her aspiration revolves around meeting a lot of people behind her partner's back while he or she is at work, and, honestly, when one of the future generations has to do that career to complete an aspiration, I don't want to be bored of it already. 

Fossils for now. 

And since Ilera is now on the second part of her aspiration (3 first kisses, level 4 in charisma skill), she goes to the park a lot to meet new people. I just put this picture up here because I think the cloudgazing/stargazing is a super cute addition to the game. She hasn't really clicked with anyone as much as Brenden. Ilera and Kylie are best friends, but that's really about it. 

I bought Ilera a double bed for all the specific purposes....you know which ones I mean. Because a series of events happened that made this legacy start going by really fast....

I couldn't bear how cute these two were. Ilera had to propose. they are going to be the perfect legacy founder couple!

And since she's not the most traditional type of girl, she also immediately eloped with Brenden. 

And let these poor lovebirds have some peace in the middle of the desert, while they make the heir!

And while they do their business, and I prepare for the next part of this chapter, here are some stats on the first spouse of the game, Brenden Meddison neè McClellan. 

First off....that beautiful face. 

Next: Brenden has the Mixology aspiration. It seems pretty fitting to me that our first spouse is a drinker considering I am drinking whiskey on the rocks while I write. I immediately have him join the Culinary career. Brenden (and yes, I'm spelling it correctly) gets the Essence of Flavor trait with his aspiration. His other traits are Art Lover, Clumsy, and Neat. 

A guy that mixes drinks AND cleans? Never have I seen such a keeper!
